Serena R Burr
Serena is not only a Florida Licensed Midwife and the founder of The Birth Tribe but also a loving mother of three beautiful boys, Demetrius, Valentino, Donatello and a baby girl (finally) Journiee. She decided to go to Midwifery School after the natural, out-of-hospital birth of her second son. The experience of a natural out-of-hospital birth with a Licensed Midwife was truly life changing for her.
During Serena's attendance at The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery she helped welcome over 100 babies into the world. She worked at three different high volume birth centers, Agape Birth and Wellness in Daytona Beach, Growing Families Birth Center in St. Augustine and Fruitful Vine in Jacksonville.
Serena saw the need for alternative maternity care and birth options in Flagler/Volusia counties and ventured out to create The Birth Tribe. Her goal is to help provide safe, effective, evidence-based, collaborative care while empowering families throughout their journey. She strives to strengthen the community of Flagler/Volusia by providing resources to whomever may need them.
